COLD
What is cold chain logistics and how does it differ from controlled temperature and frozen chain logistics?
Codina Group's cold chain logistics manages products refrigerated at +4°C, a temperature different from the +16°C/+18°C used in controlled temperature storage and the -18°C used in frozen chain logistics, each designed to preserve a different type of goods.
Codina Group provides more than 12,000 m³ of refrigerated capacity at +4 °C, with storage capacity for 1,500 pallets and 15 double-door loading docks designed to help preserve the cold chain during loading and unloading. Warehouse management software continuously monitors temperature, and the company's own fleet is equipped with thermal separators to keep products within the correct range during transport. This service is designed for food, organic and other temperature-sensitive goods that require a constant +4°C, as distinct from controlled temperature (+16°C/+18°C) and frozen chain logistics (-18°C).

Frequently asked questions
What temperature range does a refrigerated product require?
A refrigerated product is kept at a positive temperature of +4°C throughout the whole logistics process. This range guarantees optimal preservation of your temperature-sensitive products, from arrival at our facilities to final delivery.
How do you guarantee the cold chain is never broken?
We guarantee the cold chain with 15 double-door loading bays that preserve temperature during loading and unloading, together with temperature control software and our own fleet fitted with thermal partitions. This keeps your refrigerated goods at a constant temperature at every stage of transport and storage.
What's the difference between cold chain and frozen chain logistics?
Cold chain logistics keeps products at +4°C, while frozen chain logistics preserves them at −18°C. Each temperature range is designed for a different type of product, so it is important to identify what your goods need before choosing the service.
What refrigerated storage capacity do you have?
We have over 12,000 m³ of refrigerated capacity, with space for 1,500 pallets. This lets us handle large volumes of goods at +4°C with the space and temperature control guarantee your business needs.
